Your doTerra ID Number: you’ll find this in your welcome email from doTerra.
Logging in to your doTerra Account: Login at www.mydoterra.com with your email or ID number, and the password you signed up with, to explore doTerra’s essential oils, skincare, haircare and nutritional supplements, or to order more oils, check your points balance or earnings, and more.
DoTerra Customer Support: Contact doTerra’s customer support any time you have a query about a product or order. Here are a few deets, or simply reply to any email they’ve sent you.

Starting Simply
Connecting with your doTerra Essential Oils
It can sometimes feel like a significant energetic shift when your oils first arrive – and it is. They are supporting you to raise your vibration, open up to new possibilities and become more grounded, balanced and stable in your body.
So you may want to to take your time and allow yourself to get to know them at a pace that is right for you.
When you feel ready, choose just one of the oils to connect with first. This may be an oil that you feel drawn to, that catches your eye, or that you are simply interested in.
Take it out of the box, and move the other oils away from you, so that you have the space to simply be with just this one.
Allow yourself a few minutes to either just look at or hold the bottle. Notice how you feel, or any thoughts or sensations that you have.
If you would like to connect bit more deeply, open it and notice its aroma. Again notice how you feel, or any thoughts or sensations that you have.
Notice how you feel about the aroma. Sometimes it may smell wonderful; other times it may not smell attractive at all; and at other times you’ll notice that its aroma changes and improves.
This is usually due to your relationship with the oil and the energetic shifts that the oil may be supporting you to move through.
Go with what feels good for you, without any pressure or trying to force.
Allow yourself the freedom, time and space to play with and explore the oils in a way that works for you.
You may want to connect with just one essential oil for a while – or you may want to connect with several. Over time, your capacity and comfort with the oils will expand.
You may notice that your energy starts to shift and clear as you connect with them.
This is good – you’re allowing yourself to co-create with the energies, frequencies and intelligence of nature, and are opening up to more flow and alignment within yourself, and to more of your potentials and possibilities for what you can create and experience in your life.

How to use
Essential Oils Safely
Please keep in mind that the general term “essential oils”, does NOT mean doTerra essential oils.
The testing, quality and potency that you get with doTerra is never truly matched by other brands.
80-90% of the “essential oils” on the market are synthetic fragrance (perfume quality) or are adulterated, which means they possess no medicinal or therapeutic benefits for your body. (Indeed sometimes the opposite!) Obviously substances like that will have drastically different effects on your body versus 100% pure therapeutic grade essential oils like doTerra’s.
SOME SIMPLE GUIDELINES
>> Some of doTerra’s essential oils can be safely taken internally – such as by drinking a drop Lemon, Lime, Wild Orange or any of the other citrus oils in water – and others can’t. Some other doTerra essential oils that are normally safe to be taken internally are Peppermint, On Guard, Frankincense, Melaleuca, ZenGest and Oregano. You can put a drop into water and drink it, or in a capsule and swallow it. Please see doTerra’s product information for each oil before taking any internally, follow your common sense and what suits your own body.
>> If you are taking any of the citrus oils internally, use only glass or metal containers and not plastic. This is because citrus oils dissolve plastic and you don’t want to drink this.
>> Some essential oils, particularly citrus oils, are photosensitive, and may pose a risk for sun sensitivity. Avoid direct sunlight or UV rays for at least 12-24 hours after using these oils on exposed skin.
>> Avoid putting oils into the nose, inner ears, eyes, broken skin, genitals or other sensitive areas. If you get essential oil in your eyes, don’t wash with water as this will drive the oils further into your body. Instead, use a plain carrier oil, such as coconut oil, to wash it out of your eyes.
>> If in doubt or to minimise skin sensitivity, dilute oils using a carrier oil. For adults, the suggested dilution ratio os one drop of essential oil to five drops of carrier oil. Always dilute more for young children, and even more for babies.
>> Strong oils, or oils with a strong chemistry, should always be diluted before topical application. This includes oils such as, Cassia, Cinnamon Bark, Clove, Oregano, Thyme and others.
>> Supervise young children and keep your essential oils out of their reach. Always supervise oil application with your children, and dilute the before applying them to a child’s skin.

ARE OILS SAFE INTERNALLY?
For doTerra only oils – yes when your oil bottle is noted as safe for internal use.

CAN I BE ALLERGIC?
Probably not … but it’s possible. When people react to an oil it is more often because they have too high of a toxic load and need to detox their liver and the reaction they’re having is actually a detox. OR because they oil was not diluted properly. Also when using non-pure “essential oils” reactions can often be due to the synthetic chemicals in them rather than to the oils themselves.
DO ESSENTIALS OILS EXPIRE?
There are expiration dates on the bottom of the bottles as required by FDA because they are consumable products. Oils will lose efficacy over time but to make them last longer,
1. Keep them out of heat.
2. Keep them out of direct sunlight.
3. Keep the lids on as oxygen makes them evaporate..
You will read all sorts of conflicting information online. Follow the tips above, use appropriate mounts of genuinely pure essential oils and your common sense and you’ll thrive! For more information, visit https://doterra.com/US/en/essential-oil-safety/

Placing a New Order
A One-Time Order: If you would like to place a once-off order, then log in to your doTerra account and click on ‘Create a Standard One-Time Order’, choose your oils and place the order.
Regular Monthly Order: If you think that you might like to buy a few oils or other products each month for the next few months, then log into your doTerra account and click on ‘Create a Loyalty Rewards Template’. Then choose the oils you’d like to order this month and the date you’d like to order them.
When you set up an LRP template in this way, this creates a recurring monthly order. All you need to do is to change the products in the shopping cart of your order form each month and they will be sent to you.
After this month’s order has been completed, then within the next month, update the same order form with the next oils that you’d like, update the date, address or payment info if you’d like to, and the order will go through automatically.
The advantages of placing a monthly order in this way, is that you can receive the free oil of the month and also get points back for each purchase you make that you can use next time to get more oils for free, and other benefits. (See below for more info about these.)
Note: you might want to put a reminder into your diary or calendar so that you remember to update your shopping cart/order.
You can set up your Loyalty Rewards order at any time by clicking the ‘Create a new Loyalty Rewards order’ button, or by emailing or calling doTerra’s customer support.
You can also cancel your Loyalty Rewards order at any time by clicking the ‘Cancel my new Loyalty Rewards order’ button, or by emailing or calling doTerra’s customer support.
Receiving more for free
Placing a Monthly Loyalty Rewards Order
As described above, there are two ways you can order doTerra’s oils and other products. One way is to place a one time Standard Order. Use this when you want to order just occasionally.
However, if you would like to order oils or products each month, you can receive even more for free by placing a Loyalty Rewards Order.
This is a template which is set up and you simply change the items you’d like to order each month. You can easily cancel this at any time.
Each oil and product is valued at a certain number of points, called ‘pv’ or ‘points value’. You’ll see these and the total on your order form.
The beauty of ordering using Loyalty Rewards, is that …
>>> When you place an order worth order 50pv or more, you will receive a percentage of what you spend as points back that you can then use to get future oils and other products for free. This starts at 10% of the value of your order and increases every few months to 30% after a year.
>>> You will also receive points back for the cost of your postage.
>>> Another bonus is that you can also get their Free Oil of the Month when you place an order of 125pv or more by 15th of the month.

To set up your LRP order, either log in to your account and click on the ‘Creating a New LRP” link, or ask doTerra’s customer support to set it up for you. Use the same order form each month – all you need to do is to update it with the new oils that you’d like, and update the date, address or payment details as needed.

Are there people in your life who are curious to know more about the oils you’re using? Are you finding yourself talking with your friends and family about the oils and how they’ve been helping you – or do you have clients or customers who you feel would really benefit from having the oils?

The Joy of Having Their Own Oils
You may have family, friends, customers or clients who can see the difference that essential oils are making to you, and would like to set up their own wholesale membership account so that they can get their own oils at wholesale prices (25% off).
When they join using your referral link then you can receive commissions from doTerra. This is one of the ways that doTerra supports you when you share.
There are a couple of ways to help others to get their own oils.
First you will need to upgrade your account from ‘Wholesale Customer’ to ‘Wellness Advocate’. The only difference between these two types of account is that 1) as a Wellness Advocate, you have a referral link that you can share with others that they can use to set up their own account, and 2) you can receive commissions and be paid by doTerra.
To do this just login to your account and click on ‘Upgrade my account’. Once you’ve done this, then you can either of the following.
>> The simplest way is to give them a pre-filled ‘shopping basket’ link with the oils or kit of their choice, that they can then edit if they wish. This automatically contains your referral link.
To do this, log in to your account, hover over “Account” at the top of the page, and in the drop-down menu, choose “Link Generator”. Then click on “Create an Enrolment Link”, and choose the country and language of the person you’re creating a link for, and click on “Continue”.
Then either choose the products (essential oils) that they would like, or select the kit of their choice. If they choose either a kit or over 150pv worth of oils, then there isn’t an enrolment fee.
Click on “Next Step” and then “Next Step” again, and then make sure that you are listed as the Enroller.
All that you need to do then is to copy and send them the personalised link that is near the top of the page. When they click on this link they can fill in their own personal information, such as name and address, and can edit their basket.
>> Alternatively, you can set up their wholesale account either for or with, and then order the oils or kit that they would like.
To do this, log in to your account, hover over the “Account” tab at the top of the page, and then in the drop-down menu click on “Enroll a Member“. This too automatically contains your referral link.
Then select the kit or oils that they would like, click on “Next” and follow the steps to set up their Wholesale Customer Account and place their first order.
Congratulations! You’ve just helped someone to potentially powerfully change their life!
Plus, you can receive commission on anything that they buy.

A doTerra Income
When you share the oils with others who then purchase their own oils, you can receive a commission from doTerra.
You may prefer to share the oils without wanting to receive anything for doing so – but if you would like to receive something that at the very least, can help you to cover the cost of your own oils, or at best, can create a whole new channel of income for you, then you can be paid by doTerra.
First, you will need to be a Wellness Advocate. So if you’re currently a Wholesale Customer you can easily upgrade by logging in to your account and clicking on the ‘Upgrade my account’ link on your dashboard.
You also need to place a min 100pv (points) Loyalty Rewards order the month your friend joins and also keep at least 100pv worth of oils or other products sitting in your Loyalty Rewards shopping basket/order form for at least a week after they join. You can change or cancel this order at any time.
When you do this you will receive 20% of the value of their order. This is called a Fast Start Bonus.
There are a lot of ways that doTerra give you commissions – and just one of these is with the Fast-Start Bonus, where you will receive 20% of what your friend, family member or client purchases in their first 60 days of membership.
(Your friend, family member or client would probably much rather you receive the commission from their purchase than it go into the pocket of an unknown CEO, executive or investor somewhere, as in most companies.)
For any month that you’d like to receive commission, you need to place a 100pv order that month and keep a 100pv order sitting in the order form for another couple of weeks at least.
It is possible to either slowly or quickly (depending on how many people you help) receive enough commission to cover the cost of this 100pv order, so that you can then get your oils for free.
Anything you are paid after this is income to spend as you choose. The more people you help with the oils, the higher the payment you will receive from doTerra.
One of the reasons that doTerra has a minimum order requirement, is that they want to ensure that the people promoting the oils do actually use and love them and so are sharing them for the right reasons.
Another is that no matter whether we want to learn a new language, play a new musical instrument, grow a garden, start a business, begin a relationship, go travelling around the world or do anything else, usually an essential component is that we need to invest time, energy and often money before we see the biggest rewards. It’s the same with creating a new income stream, small or large, with doTerra.
The difference the oils can make to people is enormous, both to the person using them as well as all the communities whose lives are changing thanks to doTerra’s Co-Impact Sourcing and Healing Hands initiatives.
